Temple Emanu-El Funds & Accounts

 

BARBARA KRAUT YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP – This fund provides scholarships to the youth of Temple Emanu-El to attend URJ camps, Israel travel, and other educational and cultural Jewish programs.

 

BUILDING FUND – This fund provides for significant capital expenditures related to the physical plant of Temple Emanu-El. 

 

CEMETERY FUND  – This fund provides for the regular maintenance and long-term improvement projects at Garden Emanu-El at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama.

 

CULTURAL & SOCIAL FUND – This fund is used to help with special Temple and community programs, to include guest speakers, Scholars-in-Residence weekends, Jewish musicians, etc.

 

EDWARD F. RUDDERMAN RELIGIOUS SCHOOL – Donations to the religious school provide programming tools, resources, and materials for students. Donations are not used for operating costs.

 

GENERAL FUND  – This fund supplements dues and fundraisers to provide for the operating expenses of Temple Emanu-El: utilities, salaries, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, supplies, etc.

 

LEE SHUGERMAN LANDSCAPE FUND – This fund is used to maintain, repair, and when necessary, replace shrubbery and other landscaping on the Temple grounds. This is for items above and beyond those extended from the General Fund.

 

MEMORIAL FUND – SAVINGS ACCOUNT – This is not a typical donation fund. This fund is used to purchase and maintain the Memorial Boards in the Temple Sanctuary. The cost of a plaque is $250.
